Chisinau, Nov. 29 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova's fate is closely linked to the fate of Romania. Any victory of Romania is also our victory, any hardship we experience together. A strong Romania is a source of pride for us and a guarantee that we will succeed together. President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu made the statement. She urged Romanian citizens to go out and vote on December 1st and 8th.

"Those who believe that Romania would be stronger and more prosperous without the European Union - look at Moldova. You see how much Romania has advanced in the last two decades and how hard Moldova has had to cope. Eighteen years ago we did not have the chance to join the European Union together with Romania, but we have not lost hope, working hard to become part of this big European family as soon as possible. In this increasingly uncertain world we need each other, we need to support each other. Together we are stronger", Maia Sandu said.

"Yes, our democracies are not perfect, but returning to a regime that is on the side of the aggressor is a step backwards, towards isolation, poverty, dictatorship. We don't want to be separated again. We do not want Kremlin to dictate Bucharest's relationship with Chisinau again. On the contrary, we have the chance to find ourselves in the big European family. And we do not want to miss this chance. On December 1st and 8th we go to the polls. We elect Romania's Parliament and Romania's President. I will go to the polls because I want a Romania living in peace with a strong voice in the world and a high standard of living for all its citizens. My grandparents, who were born in Romania, would certainly have voted. The Romanian people have the power and the wisdom to defend their place in the world, and their fate and this power lies only in the vote. The Romanian people is free! I urge you to vote for a strong, European Romania, for a free country", said Maia Sandu.

Romanian citizens in the Republic of Moldova are expected at 59 polling stations to participate in the election of representatives to the Romanian Parliament between November 30 and December 1, from 07:00 to 21:00. In the northern region of the country 17 polling stations have been opened, in the central region - 34 polling stations, of which 16 in the city of Chisinau, and in the southern region - 8 polling stations.

In order to be able to vote, citizens must have one of the following documents. They are: identity card, electronic identity card, provisional identity card, identity card, diplomatic passport, electronic diplomatic passport, service passport, electronic service passport, simple passport, electronic simple passport, temporary simple passport, and military service booklet for students of military schools.
