Romania to provide new financial aid for modernising Moldovan kindergartens

Chisinau, 27 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Romanian government will provide a new financial aid for reparation and modernisation of Moldovan kindergartens. The assistance in amount of 5 million euros is meant to supplement the support previously provided by Romania, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta has informed about this in a telephone talk held with Moldovan Prime Minister Iurie Leanca. Leanca thanked for the support, which would continue to improve the situation of Moldovan kindergartens.
At the same time, Iurie Leanca met the leadership of the Moldovan Social Investment Fund, which manages the 23-million-euro-worth grant provided by the Romanian government.
During the meeting, Leanca informed that, out of those 790 beneficiary kindergartens, 670 were selected to be repaired, and the rest to be endowed with furniture. Following the auctions, contracts on reparations have been already signed with 441 kindergartens, 85 per cent of the total of contracted works are to be completed in the spring of 2015. As to the endowing of those 120 kindergartens with furniture and playgrounds, all agreements were signed at the end of past August and the goods have been supplied starting from 15 September.
