Moldovan, European officials approach cooperation

Chisinau, 17 December /MOLDPRES/- The head of the Bureau for Reintegration, Gheorghe Balan, met Head of the Department of the European Social Charter, Executive Secretary to the European Committee of Social Rights of the Council of Europe, Regis Brillat, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
The sides tackled deepening the cooperation between Moldova and the Council of Europe (CE). They reviewed the results of the CE projects, implemented within the programme on measures of building confidence between the two banks of the Dniester river. At the same time, the officials discussed the initiatives for the next period, as well as the opportunity to extend the cooperation in the social sector and to raise awareness on the need to implement the European Social Charter in Moldova.
Balan thanked the Council of Europe for backing Moldova, as well as for the attention to the Transnistrian conflict settlement process, especially, by supporting the measures of building confidence between the residents of the two banks of Dniester.
