Cooks’ salaries in kindergartens to increase by fifty per cent in Chisinau

Chisinau, 12 September /MOLDPRES/ – The salaries of the cooks in Chisinau kindergartens will be increased by 50 per cent, according to a decision approved by the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) today.

The project was proposed by the Socialist faction and provided for wage increases for cooks, cooks’ assistants and nursery nurseries in Chisinau.

The document was drawn up in consultation with the Finance and the Legal Department, which identified financial sources for the above-mentioned addition from the municipal budget. Thus, for these purposes, MDL 3,000,000 is needed which have been found in the reserve budget of Chisinau.

At the hearing, the Liberals faction proposed to increase the salary by 100 per cent for the above categories, but this amendment was not supported by the other councilors, as representatives of the Financial Directorate specified that such means were not available.

According to the data presented at the CMC meeting, there are twelve kindergartens which do not work in Chisinau. The reason is the lack of cooks, whose salary is MDL 900.
