Moldovan speaker meets OSCE Parliamentary Assembly head

Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii met with George Tsereteli, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, on the sidelines of the Forum of speakers from the Eurasian countries ”Greater Eurasia: Dialog.Trust.Partnership”, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

"We are open for cooperation. There have been difficult times in the past, but now there are great opportunities ”, said Zinaida Greceanii.

The sides approached the need to use mechanisms and instruments provided for elaborating and implementing reforms. A special topic was the activity of the Central Election Commission, human rights and the Transnistrian conflict settlement. Officials discussed the justice reform initiated by the authorities, as well as the government roadmap that sets priorities for the next period.

Deputy speakers Mihail Popșoi and Alexandru Slusari attended the meeting.  The Forum is attended by speakers from 65 countries in Europe and Asia, as well as heads of 14 international and interparliamentary organizations.
