Moldovan president ends visit to New York

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon has ended his visit to New York, where the United Nations’ General Assembly took place, the presidential press service has reported.
At the visit, the head of state participated in tens of bilateral and multilateral meetings, including meetings with presidents of seven states (USA, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Estonia and Latvia). Also, Igor Dodon had a productive discussion with United Nations General Assembly, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, representatives of Jewish organizations. At the same time, the Moldovan president took part with a political speech in the political forum for the Sustainable Development Goals and discussed with representatives of the Moldovan Diaspora in the USA.
The key event was the Moldovan president’s speech given at the rostrum of the UN General Assembly, in which he informed about the most topical aspects of the political and social life in Moldova.
„I deem this visit as successful one, as during it, we have managed to promote the interests and aspirations of Moldova on the international stage,” Igor Dodon said.
