President of Moldovan Supreme Court of Justice accused for illicit enrichment

Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/ - President of the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) Ion Druta today was accused for the offence of illicit enrichment.
Data by the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office shows that Druta is to be heard as person accused for the committing of the illicit enrichment offence.
Also, anticorruption prosecutors submitted a petition to the Chisinau Court, Ciocana headquarters, thereby demanding the application of the procedure of preventive arrest against Druta. The prosecutors’ petition is to be considered till the expiration of 72 hours after the person’s detention.
The CSJ president was detained on 2 October, after law-enforcers had discovered, in his office and at home, objects able to confirm the reasonable suspicion about the committing of the illegal enrichment deed.
