Three victims of last week traffic accident from Moldovan capital's Buiucani district still in hospital

Chisinau, 8 October /MOLDPRES/ - Three persons injured in the wake of the last week traffic accident, which took place in the Moldovan capital’s Buiucani district, are still in hospital. The woman driver of the Porsche car, who triggered the accident, died in hospital today.
The medical director of the Chisinau-based Emergency Medicine Hospital, Igor Curov, told a today’s news briefing that three persons remained in hospital and another five had been recently discharged from hospital. “Those three persons are in a satisfactory condition and are to be discharged soon,” Curov said.
Igor Curov also said that, despite the efforts made by emergency physicians, the 34-year-old woman driver had died eight days after the accident. During those eight days, the woman was in the intensive therapy section, connected to apparatus and was subjected to two surgical interventions.
The woman driver was hospitalized with serious concomitant injury, with internal injury, head injury and orthopedic trauma.
The accident, in the wake of which 25 people were injured and one passenger died, occurred at the intersection of the Alba Iulia blvd with the Onisifor Ghibu Street from the Buiucani district of Chisinau on 30 September 2019. A Porsche vehicle, driven by a drunk 34-year-old woman, rushed into a trolley bus moving on the route 21and and pushed it to the footway.
