Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon announced solutions that would reduce the burden of heating bills.
The head of state said he proposed to the thermal energy supplier to change the method of billing the citizens in the cold season, when people have to pay huge sums for heat.
The president comes up with the solution that the bills be the same, from one month to another. "The heating period is up to six months. During this time, the person pays, in total, for example, 5-6 thousand lei. I proposed that this amount be distributed equally for these six months. The citizen receives the same salary every month, why pay different amounts for the heat bill, “he said.
Recently, the president summoned the management from Termoelectrica, Chisinau City Hall and Moldova-Gaz. He said that in January when high temperatures were recorded and the gas price did not increase, the bills for thermal energy were quite high.
In this context, he ordered a thorough analysis of the situation be made. "We received assurances that the bill for February will be 25-30% lower compared to last year and the previous month," Dodon said.
