Moldovan President meets Minister-President of Wallonia

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/- During the working visit to Belgium, President Igor Dodon had a meeting with Minister-President of Wallonia Elio di Rupo on Tuesday, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral relations between Moldova and Belgium and noted our country's interest to expand cooperation, including at the level of regions.

In this context, Dodon welcomed the intention of the business community in Wallonia to organize a business forum in Moldova this autumn. Also, he noted attractiveness of our country as a regional, logistics and IT hub between the European Union, CIS and Turkey.

Given that Wallonia is a Francophone region of Belgium, and Moldova is a full member of the International Organization of Francophonie, Dodon opted for strengthening bilateral cooperation in education, culture and humanitarian sectors.
