Moldovan president receives accreditation letters on behalf of ambassador of Belarus

Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Igor Dodon, at an official ceremony at the Presidency, today received the accreditation letters of new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belarus to Moldova Anatoly Kalinin, the presidential press service has reported.
Igor Dodon congratulated the ambassador on his nomination to this office. He voiced confidence that the present friendship and cooperation relations between the two states and peoples would witness a growth in all sectors of common interest.
The head of state welcomed the dynamic of the commercial and economic relations between Moldova and Belarus, as well as the active interaction within the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Economic Union and other international platforms.
In particular, the officials tackled the two countries’ fight to counteract the spreading of coronavirus and were unanimous in the opinion on the need to undertake joint measures to overcome this global challenge.
