Moldovan speaker votes for peace, quiet in country

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Zinaida Greceanii voted today, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

"I voted for peace and quiet in the country, for a President the people can be proud of and be closer to people and unite citizens. I voted for a President who, I know for sure, will never speak ill of his own country and his own people when he goes abroad. We are interested in the elections being free, fair and all candidates enjoying equal opportunities, and the choice belongs to the people of the Republic of Moldova ", she said.

Presidential elections are held in Moldova today, 1 November. According to the Central Electoral Commission, 2,807,182 citizens eligible to vote are expected today at polls, and 2143 polling stations were set up.
