Medical system in Moldova to be tight in few weeks

Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/- Currently, the Republic of Moldova ranks 19th in Europe in terms of the number of COVID-19 cases and 13th in the number of deaths. Although at the current stage we still have places in hospitals and intensive care units, in a few weeks the medical system will be to limit and we will have great difficulty in admitting new patients. Prime Minister Ion Chicu made the statement.
Despite the efforts of the WHO and the entire international community, the pandemic is growing globally and in our country. "The number of cases is increasing, and the pressure on hospitals and doctors is enormous. We are currently ranked 19th in Europe in terms of the number of cases per 1 million population and 13th in the number of deaths per 1 million population," he said.
He said that under current conditions, the state cannot come up with measures to restrict economic activities and free movement of citizens, the arsenal of state tools to stop the spread of this virus is quite limited.
So far, 93,961 cases of infection with the new coronavirus and 2,091 deaths caused by it have been registered in the Republic of Moldova.
