Winter conditions on national roads in Moldova

Chisinau, 27 January /MOLDPRES/- Currently, there are no blocked road sections in the country and accessibility of the road infrastructure is ensured, the State Road Administration (ASD) has reported.

In the last 24 hours, in the north and center of the country, low temperatures without precipitation were recorded, in the south of the country there was snow and sleet, on some road sections forming slippery. According to the roads, under the conditions, on the national public routes in the northern and central area, patrol works were carried out, and in the southern area, patrol and anti-skid works were carried out.

"The company used 70 special units and 128 road workers in the technological process ," ASD said.

ASD warns drivers to be informed about the weather conditions and roadway route, to refrain from traveling, if they are not strictly necessary to allow the smooth running of snow removal works on January 27-28.

Road administrators continuously monitor all dangerous road sections so that any traffic difficulties can be solved operatively. To seek the intervention of road workers, traffic participants can call the phone numbers: 22-55-30; 74-89-61; 060 477 117.

The Orange Code of complicated weather conditions will be maintained tomorrow. In the next 24 hours, sleet and snow, strong wind, blizzards are expected in the country. On 28 January the air temperature in the country will be -2 + 3 degrees Celsius during the day, and up to -6 degrees at night.
