Comrat Covid Centre full

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/- Covid Center of Comrat district hospital is overloaded. There are already 70 patients in the planned ward for 62 beds, according to the regional press.

According to Comrat hospital manager Nina Railean, the situation created is getting out of control. "At the moment, we have 70 patients in the ward, of which 66 have been tested positive for the new coronavirus. Most patients are in a state of moderate severity, ten people - in a serious condition. The virus has become more aggressive, people are brought in much more difficult conditions", Nina Railean told gagauzinfo.md.

She asked people "not to relax", but to strictly observe the sanitary-epidemiological measures - wear mask, disinfect hands and keep social distancing.

In the last 24 hours, 26 cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in Gagauzia, the total number reaching 4,940. Most patients are in Comrat district. On 17 February 116 people were hospitalized in the covid wards of the region, 109 - confirmed virus. Yesterday, three people died there, due to the coronavirus.
