„While on the period 1-10 December 2023, the overall quantity purchased from import (mainly from Romania) and from the Kuchurgan power station was of about 96,000 MWh, about 110,000 MWh was bought for the same period of this year, which is by about 15 per cent more. The higher demand of electric energy on the local market started in late last November, when also the OPCOM’s prices started increasing, against the background of a high demand in Romania too,’’ Energocom said.
According to the initial forecast for December 2024, the Energocom stock company will purchase about 463,000 MWh in all for the consumption on the right bank of Dniester, of which 170,500 MWh (about 37 per cent) - from the Kuchurgan power station of the Transnistrian region.
