As many as 1,301 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 3,252 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,301 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 172,815 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 44 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –15, medical assistants –19 and auxiliary staff -10.

As many as 3,160 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 284 are in extremely serious condition (63 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 720 people have been treated. As many as 159,339 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,697 people have died of coronavirus in all.
