Moldovan head of state has discussion with Lithuanian president

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today discussed prospects of the Moldovan-Lithuanian cooperation in diverse sectors of common interest with President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state informed his Lithuanian counterpart about the present situation in Moldova, political challenges due to be faced this year, the pandemic situation and the economic crisis.

„I thanked Mr. Nausėda for Lithuania’s support at the bilateral level and within the EU institutions and showed confident in the deepening of the relations between our countries. Lithuania is an old and faithful partner of Moldova and our goal is to have a successful cooperation in the strategic sectors and at the inter-human level,’’ Maia Sandu said.
