Chisinau, 18 February /MOLDPRES/- Today, the National Agency for Employment marks the 30th anniversary of founding.
In 30 years of activity, about 1 million 516 thousand unemployed have been registered by the territorial employment agencies to benefit from employment and social protection services if unemployment.
In 1991, in the first year of activity, 79 people were registered as unemployed. Depending on the fluctuations on the labor market, during the following years, the number of unemployed registered growth trends: 1998 - 63.3 thousand, 2010 - 81.5 thousand, 2015 - 50.6 thousand unemployed.
Over the years, with the support of the territorial subdivisions for employment, about 531 thousand unemployed were supported and employed in various fields of the national economy, 107 thousand people were trained professionally, about 292 thousand benefited from aid unemployment and 38 thousand integration or vocational reintegration allowance.
In 2020, the National Agency for Employment ensured the receipt by citizens of applications for registration with unemployment status and applications for unemployment benefits, offered in order to support the unemployed population during the state of unemployment. expedite. Thus, 14 thousand people received financial support from the state during the emergency period.
