Chisinau, 22 February /MOLDPRES/- Evaluating the implementation of the Roadmap for getting by Moldova the right to export to the European Union poultry meat and eggs category B, and actions aimed at obtaining permission for the transit of composite products in EU states were considered today at a meeting organized by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.
The roadmap has been revised, based on the priorities set for 2020. As a result, it was noted that about 95% of the planned actions were carried out. Thus, it was agreed that the actions that are under implementation to be completed in the next period.
At the same time, it was discussed the work on audit of Moldova to assess the official controls in animal health for poultry, poultry products and eggs for export to the European Union due online on 19- 30 April 2021.
The audit involves examining important issues, such as production chains for poultry products, the requirements for the official certification of animal health testing, the operation of the network of laboratories and others.
"Once entry into force of this legislation and the listing of our country in the EU decision, Moldova will have the opportunity to export composite products, such as pastries and confectionery, which are stable at ambient temperature. Regarding dairy products, obtaining the right to export to the EU involves a wider range of activities to be implemented at national level. Currently, the case of Moldova on the matter is under examination by the European Commission, which could be followed by an audit mission similar to the one planned for this April ”, MEI said.
