Moldovan accordionist, conductor celebrates 60th anniversary

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/- Well-known accordionist, conductor of popular music, symphony and opera Mihai Amihalachioaie, Master in Art, turned 60 today.
He was born on 23 February 1961 in Molnița village, Chernivtsi region, Ukraine. He started musical studies at the School of Music in Herța, after which he continued at the Ștefan Neaga Music College.
Since 1998 he has been the conductor of the National Philharmonic, the National Chamber Orchestra, the Chisinau Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra and the conductor of the National Opera and Ballet Theater in Chisinau.
In 1985 he began his musical career as an accordionist and conductor of folk music of Busuioc Moldovenesc group. In 1998 he collaborated as a conductor with the National Philharmonic, National Chamber Orchestra and Radio-TV Symphony Orchestra from Chisinau. He was an employee of the Maria Bieșu National Opera and Ballet Theater.
He has performed artistic tours abroad, such as Romania, Spain, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain etc.
In 2001, he was awarded the honorary title Master of Art for his entire activity.
