As many as 1,133 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,560 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,133 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which eight import case. As many as 178,540 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 47 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 14, medical assistants –25 and auxiliary staff -8.

As many as 3,444 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 292 are in extremely serious condition (48 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 6,238 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 16,528 are under supervision at home.

Another 781 people have been treated. As many as 163,376 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 24 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,823 people have died of coronavirus in all.
