Gagauz governor meets Turkish president

Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met Gagauz Governor Irina Vlah yesterday. The sides discussed several social and economic issues, political situation in Moldova and fight against the epidemic of the new coronavirus.
During the meeting, Irina Vlah asked for Turkey's support in providing our country with COVID-19 vaccines. The Turkish president voiced willingness to contribute to providing Moldova with a batch of vaccines, according to gagauzinfo.md.
In another context, Vlah informed Erdoğan about the autonomous implementation of infrastructure projects supported by Turkey, such as the construction of a multifunctional sports center, the water supply of Vulcanesti, the construction of the Industrial College etc.
This week, Irina Vlah paid a visit to Turkey and held many meetings with officials in Ankara.
