NATO provides over 25,000 coveralls to hospital from Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/ - About 25,000 disposable coveralls worth over 300,000 dollars today were provided to the Valentin Ignatenco Municipal Children’s Hospital on behalf of NATO.
Attending the event on the delivery of the donation, the state secretary at the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), Tatiana Zatic, thanked the partners from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization for the support provided to the health system.
„This support in form of protection equipment, provided as response to the pandemic situation in Moldova, will essentially contribute to the protection of medical employees and the providing of assistance to children, who represent this country’s future,’’ Zatic said.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Lithuania to Moldova Kestutis Kudzmanas said that NATO was in solidarity with Moldova in the context of the current epidemiological situation.
„We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of NATO for Moldova, in order to help strengthen the country’s effort in the fight with COVID-19,’’ the diplomat added.
