Almost 1.5 billion lei planned in Moldova to combat COVID-19 in 2021

Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/ - Almost 1.5 billion lei has been planned in the mandatory health insurances accounts (AOAM) for combating COVID-19 in 2021.  

According to data by the National Health Insurances Company (CNAM), almost 1 billion 51 million lei is to be used from the basic fund for the special services of diagnosing and treatment of COVID-19 infected people. About 1 billion and 14 million lei of this sum is planned to treat almost 90,000 COVID-19 cases, 11.4 million – for medical assistance services provided by the subdivision of COVID-19 emergency receptions and 25.5 million lei represents money meant for testing for coronavirus within the ambulatory specialized medical assistance.     

Another over 412 million lei is to be allocated also from the basic fund for a 100-per cent addition to the office salary provided to the medical employees involved in the fight against the new-type coronavirus.

Also, CNAM this year planned five million in the prophylactic measures’ fund for covering the costs of the anti-COVID-19 vaccines. If necessary, the company is ready to allocate also the 10 million lei from the reserve fund for the vaccine, according to the regulations in force.
