Chisinau city hall to support war veterans

Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/- The local public administration of Chisinau has worked out a plan to support war veterans.

Chisinau city hall has worked out an Action Plan -Memory. Honor. Respect to build confidence and improve social and legal protection of war veterans, for 2021-2023. The document aims to ensure the continuity of the process of improving the state's social policy on war veterans and maintaining constructive dialogue with this category of citizens.

Under the document, Chisinau city hall is to assess institutional responsibilities, set by law, which guarantee the rights and social protection of war veterans and the identification of the actions that ensure their accomplishment, included in a plan for each authority / institution.

The plan on veterans provides for the facilitation of the renaming of some streets in Chisinau, of educational institutions, in memory of those who fell for the defense of the territorial integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova, as well as those who fell in the battles in Afghanistan; organizing and conducting meetings between APL representatives and war veterans, family members of those who fell in fighting, in order to identify and solve the problems they face; establishing and consolidating a collaborative partnership between APL and municipal veterans 'organizations, as well as holding an annual Heroes' Cup educational-patriotic contest, with the participation of war veterans and students from pre-university institutions.
