Causeni launches local partnership

Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/- Causeni district council signed yesterday a local partnership agreement with the International Labor Organization and the Austrian Development Agency to recover the impact of the pandemic on the social and economic situation in the locality.

Through the territorial commission for collective consultation and negotiation, a planning was ensured during the consultation process between trade unions, employers and local public administration. In this process, the interest of specific groups was taken into account: employees, employers, people with disabilities, victims of domestic violence, migrants returned as a result of the pandemic etc.

The implementation of Causeni local partnership is estimated at about 147 thousand dollars. The Austrian Development Agency and the International Labor Organization will provide support worth about 130 thousand lei for several lines of intervention.

The five projects / actions of Causeni local partnership aim to create and formalize 145 jobs and launch 50 start-ups in sectors with job creation potential, expand 50 small and micro enterprises. Over a thousand people from Causeni district, including people from the categories at risk of social exclusion, will benefit from the opportunities offered by the project and around 1,500 people from the community will benefit indirectly.
