As many as 1,736 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 4,560 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,736 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which eight import ones. As many as 181,886 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 63 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 18, medical assistants –32 and auxiliary staff -13.

As many as 3,514patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 287 are in extremely serious condition (52 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 8,443 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 16,663 are under supervision at home.

Another 425 people have been treated. As many as 164,321 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 25 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,871 people have died of coronavirus in all.
