Two villages in Glodeni district to be provided with water from Prut

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/- Construction-assembly works of the aqueduct that will provide Cuhnești and Balatina villages with drinking water from the Prut river are underway in Glodeni district. The works are carried out under a project implemented by the North Regional Development Agency (ADR) and financed by the National Fund for Regional Development (FNDR).
Specialists of the Agency, accompanied by the district authorities from Glodeni, paid a monitoring visit yesterday. The team went to the construction site of the water catchment station in the Prut river, located in Bisericani village, Cuhnești commune, and to the construction site of the water treatment plant, Balatina, to collect facts about the execution of works.
The construction-assembly works started in early November 2020 and are conducted according to the norms, sources in ADR Nord said.
The total cost of the project requested from FNDR sources, according to the financing application, is 38.96 million lei. Last year, 19.29 million lei were capitalized within the project. The National Council for the Coordination of Regional Development approved in January the allocation of 19.67 million lei for the works to be executed by the end of the year.
Project partners are Cuhnești town hall (Cuhnești, Bisericani, Cot, Movileni, Serghieni) and Balatina town hall (Balatina, Clococenii Vechi, Lipovăț, Tomeștii Noi, Tomeștii Vechi).
