Moldovan president meets Ambassador of the Netherlands

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with Bucharest-based Ambassador of the Netherlands to Moldova Roelof van Ees. The head of state tanked the ambassador for the assistance provided during time to Moldova as regards the strengthening of the democracy and good governance, the presidential press service has reported.

Also, Maia Sandu thanked for the assistance provided by the Netherlands in the fight against Covid-19; Moldova has received medical and protection equipment from Dutch partners since the beginning of the pandemic.

The interlocutors referred also the sanitary and economic crisis faced by Moldova, as well as the political crisis which must be overcome as soon as possible. ‘’I expressed confidence that we will continue developing the relation between our countries, in order to develop and modernize Moldova,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
