Classes to be held online in Moldova's schools, universities in next two weeks

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - The education process will be held online in the primary education institutions, gymnasiums, lyceums, vocational and higher schools on the period 1-15 March. The Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) issued an order to this effect today.

Under a MECC press release, the order was approved to ensure the security, protect the life and health of children, pupils, students and teachers, as a result of the evolution of the epidemiological situation and according to the Decision No 47 of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission. Thus, during 1-15 March 2021, the classes will be held online in the primary education, gymnasiums, lyceums, extra-school institutions, in public and public institutions (expect for the vacation period on 5-8 March 2021).

The document sees also the suspension of the carrying out of school Olympiads for the period 27 February – 15 March 2021.
