Martisor festival to be held online

Chisinau, 27 February /MOLDPRES/- In the context of the evolution of the epidemiological situation in our country and taking into account the Decision of the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission which prohibited the activity of theatrical-concert institutions and houses of culture with the presence of spectators, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research decided to organize online on 1-10 March of the musical performances within the International Music Festival Martisor-2021, 55th edition.
Minister of Education, Culture and Research Lilia Pogolșa said that the musical performances will be broadcast by Moldova 1 and Moldova 2 TV Channels and will be broadcast online and on facebook of Moldova-Concert Organization, Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, Maria Bieşu National Opera and Ballet Theater and Organ Hall.
The 55th edition of the Festival will include 16 musical performances, in which the most famous artistic groups in the country will perform.
The first edition of the Mărțișor International Music Festival took place in 1966 at the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic in Chisinau, whose founder was departed Alexandru Fedco, former director of the Philharmonic.
