As many as 597 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/- In the last 24 hours, 2098 tests were processed in Moldova, confirming 597 cases of infection with the new coronavirus, of which five were imported. In total, to date, 185,453 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country,

According to the data of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS), out of the total number of cases, 34 are medical workers: doctors - 10, nurses - 14, auxiliary staff - 10.

At the same time, there are 9,559 people in home treatment with mild and moderate forms of COVID-19, and 17,333 are under home supervision.

Another 689 people were treated. In total, 166,178 people were treated by COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 25 deaths caused by COVID-19, the number of deaths reaching 3949.
