Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - The leader of the Party of Socialists (PSRM), Igor Dodon, today announced the decisions adopted at a meeting of the PSRM Republican Council, held on 27 February. He repeatedly urged the political parties to participate in the dialogue and asked the head of state to nominate a candidate for the office of prime minister.
Dodon noted that the simplest way of settling the political crisis was the dialogue, stressing that PSRM had made its first invitation to dialogue back in last December. ‘’This is the third attempt to go to dialogue. The first one was in December, in order to see how we hold the snap elections. In early last February, we repeatedly proposed dialogue; we called the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) to see how we go to snap polls as early as in next June. PSRM is ready to hold a constructive dialogue also with the country’s president and discuss. We must take a joint decision, prove political maturity,’’ Dodon said.
The PSRM leader demanded that the head of state nominates a candidate for the office of prime minister till 9 March, noting that, otherwise, PCRM would come up with other measures. ‘’Do not wait for the date of 23 March, when we will get into a full blockage. I would not like the position of president to become a decorative one, just as it was till 2016,’’ Dodon added.
