Moldovan acting PM conveys congratulatory message on occasion of Martisor holiday

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi today conveyed a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Martisor, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The message reads:

„Dear citizens,

The first day of spring has a special significance for our nation. Besides the fact that it announces the revival of the nature and gives start to a string of nice holidays, the beginning of March fills our souls with warmth, light and hope.  

And maybe the nicest tradition we have is the one of donating a Martisor and wearing it at the chest. This small symbol of spring has a really noble significance. The weaving of the white thread, which means health, with the red thread, which symbolizes prosperity, together make a wreath of optimism and generosity. We need this more than ever now.   

Dear friends,

Beyond all troubles and restrictions we have together in this pandemic, the right to enjoy each Sunrise, each snow drop and each spring day by the side of the dear people cannot be cancelled by anybody. As the people by our side are the nicest seasons!   

On behalf of Moldova’s government, I wish you good health, power and luck. Let the spring revive the enthusiasm, fill your face and heart with the happiness of the nature’s revival!’’
