Mobile post of rescuers, firemen to temporarily work at Chisinau-based COVID Centre

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/ - A mobile post of rescuers and firemen will temporarily work nearby the Chisinau-based COVID centre as of today.

According to data by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), the decision was taken by the institution, in order to prevent fires and other risk situations. Thus, the firemen will have the task to ensure the anti-fire security for the patients hospitalized, medical staff, as well as the entire institution.

Today, 16 IGSU employees due to work at the post were trained by their leaders in terms of carrying out missions of ensuring security. Firemen verified the ways of evacuation in case of emergencies, water supply hydrants and assessed opportunities of intervention in case of fire.

The activity of the rescuers’ post in the sector of risks’ prevention and anti-fire security will be carried out during the functioning of the COVID Centre and rescuers and firemen will work 24 hours.
