Declarations on assets, personal interests must be submitted by 31 March

Chisinau, 1 March /MOLDPRES/- The National Integrity Authority (ANI) reminds that there are 30 days left until the deadline for submitting declarations on assets and personal interests.

According to a statement issued by the institution, civil servants and officials should submit declarations in the next period, so as not to overburden the system in the last days of submission.

ANI also asked heads of public institutions to provide employees with information on salary income from the previous year.

For not submitting the declarations within the time limits, sanctions worth 3,000 - 4,500 lei are applied. Also, for the incomplete or incorrect inclusion of data in declarations on assets and personal interests, officials risk becoming subject to a control procedure or a criminal / fiscal case.

As of 1 January 2021, only 17 thousand 900 declarations on wealth and personal interests were submitted out of the total number of up to 60 thousand.
