Ambulance doctors intervened in over 16,000 requests last days

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/- On 22-28 February the pre-hospital emergency medical assistance service registered 16,353 requests. 6333 patients were transported to hospital medical institutions in the country, including 803 children.

According to the Center, the emergency medical teams noticed a significant increase in requests caused by respiratory emergencies, serving 5417 requests, including 1805 (IRVA), followed by cardiovascular emergencies - 2883 requests, including 47 patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome, and neurological emergencies - 1743 requests, including 194 strokes.

Last week, 989 calls were received at the Emergency Service due to various injuries. There were 32 road accidents on the country's routes, as a result of which 42 people suffered. Subsequently, 37 patients were transported to the hospital.
