Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/- The label for the classification of energy consumption of household appliances from 1 March is definitively withdrawn and a new scale of values enters into force, set under new regulations of the European Union, the Energy Efficiency Agency (AEE) has reported.
According to the institution, the energy label provides a clear and simple indication of the energy efficiency of the products at the time of purchase. At the same time, it helps consumers compare products, save energy and thus save on future energy bills at home. By opting for more energy-efficient products, they will also help reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the EU.
From 1 March 2021, the new scale from A (maximum efficiency) to G (minimum efficiency) began to apply to refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines and televisions.
After 1 March 2021, European traders have 14 working days to replace the old energy label for all reclassified products in stores and online, as well as advertising.
