Another 20 trolley buses move in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall today launched 20 trolley buses on municipal routes.
Ten transport units of this consignment are new ones of the last generation AKSM type, made at the Minsk-based plant and assembled at the repair workshop of the municipal enterprise RTE Chisinau. Another ten trolley buses of Skoda type, with distance covered, were bought from Riga. The newly launched trolley buses were made available on the routes No 2, 4, 10, 13, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25.
Attending the event, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, said that, by including these trolley buses in movement, the city hall was set to diminish the major risks as to the COVID-19 infection in the public transport units. Also, the mayor voiced hope that both the drivers and conductors would feel more comfortable in the new trolley buses.
Five new articulated trolley buses made in Belarus, five Solaris articulated trolley buses with distance covered, bought in Riga, and ten classical Skoda trolley buses with distance covered have been recently made available on Chisinau streets. In March, another 10 AKSM-type classical trolley buses are to be brought to Chisinau and the same number of trolley buses with autonomous movement – till early next April.
