Over 750 medical employees immunized on first day of anti-COVID vaccination campaign in Moldova

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 751 medical employees were immunized on the first day of the anti-COVID vaccination campaign.

At a news briefing, the leadership of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS) informed that all those 21,600 AstraZeneca vaccine doses, donated by Romania, had already been distributed to vaccination centres. The employees of the intensive therapy sections from the Republican Hospital and the Emergency Medicine Institute were vaccinated today.

About 10,800 doses were delivered to hospitals from Moldova and 1,800 will reach the medical institutions from the left bank of Dniester.

All people vaccinated were introduced in an electronic register and today none of the vaccinated employee showed adverse reactions to the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The first vaccinated physician spoke to media. The doctor said that both he and his colleagues, who had been immunized, worked in the usual pace, including with patients infected with COVID-19.
