As many as 1,400 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,045 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,400 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which nine import ones. As many as 187,403 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 74 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 26, medical assistants –32 and auxiliary staff -16.

As many as 3,926 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 326 are in extremely serious condition (57 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 10,363 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 17,160 are under supervision at home.

Another 609 people have been treated. As many as 167,442 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 27 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,002 people have died of coronavirus in all.
