Moldovan parliament made amendments to Labor Code

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/- Parliament today approved in a final reading the draft amendment to the Labor Code, the law on wage and salary law in the budget sector to motivate employees working in high-risk health conditions.

Under the draft, for work in high risk health conditions, employees are given compensation increases, the amount of which will be at least a basic salary. They will be paid for the actual duration of work, which will be the period against pandemic or epidemic.

According to the amendments to the legislation, the categories of employees involved in the performance of work during the state of emergency, siege or war or during the state of emergency in public health are established by the Commission for Emergencies or the National Public Health Commission.
