Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitutional Court’s (CCM) magistrates have stated that an acting government can appoint or put forward people for leadership offices, other than positions of minister.
The CCM judges today considered a notification submitted by President Maia Sandu, in which she appeals some provisions of the law on government, which regulates the powers of the acting cabinet. The Constitutional Court ruled to partially admit the notification submitted by the head of state. .
”The Constitutional Court ruled that an acting government can put forward for appointment other people for public offices, other positions than the one minister, for a definite term. The stipulations concerning the prohibition for the government to be able to dismiss from office people with public offices by an acting cabinet are recognized as constitutional,’’ CCM president Domnica Manole said.
