New border transit rules come into force today

Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/- Starting today, 5 March new measures to prevent and control COVID-19 infection when crossing the state border on the way to enter the Republic of Moldova come into force.
According to the new Decision of the National Commission of Public Health (CNESP), people crossing the state border on the way to enter the Republic of Moldova must fill in epidemiological form, as well as sign the declaration on their own responsibility to comply with self-isolation for 14 days, in specific places.
In the case of minors up to 14 years of age, the epidemiological form and the declaration on their own responsibility are filled out and signed by the legal representative or companion. Exceptions will be made only by children under the age of 5; persons holding negative COVID-19 PCR tests, performed no more than 72 hours before boarding; drivers and service personnel of road vehicles, crews and service personnel of aircraft / ships and brigades and service personnel of train sets; persons traveling for health or humanitarian reasons; pupils / students, who are to take exams, who are going to study; people moving in the professional interest etc.
People in self-isolation may discontinue this regimen after the 10th day if they perform a COVID-19 PCR test and the result is negative.
