Moldovan political formations' financial reports to be submitted to electoral body till 31 March 2021

Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) informs that 31 March 2021 is the deadline for submitting the annual report on the financial management of the political party for 2020.
The report will be presented to the Commission, in accordance with the provisions of the Law No 294/2007 on political parties and the regulation on the financing of the political parties’ work, approved under the CEC decision No 4401/2015.
The reporting will be made both in electronic form, through the information subsystem Financial Control, and on paper, according to the model of documents established and approved in this respect. Subsequently, these documents will be made public and placed in the column Financing, section Financing of parties through financial control, on CEC’s official webpage, www.cec.md.
The political parties the annual incomes or expenses of which exceed one million lei are obliged to make the audit of the reports on financial management at least once in three years. The audit report, along with the annual report on financial management of the political party, will be submitted to the Central Electoral Commission and if the political party benefited from allocations from the state budget – to the Court of Accounts too.
CEC warns that the non-submission of the report on financial management in the term and format established by the law, including the presentation of incomplete acts, represent infringements of the legal provisions as to the financial management of political parties, which is regarded as contravention and is liable to civil responsibility.
