This year, on this occasion the European Parliament highlights the key role of women during the Covid crisis. Women are at the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, among other things, and they are the majority in the health sector. Yet they are also among the most affected, often with precarious or insecure jobs, in sectors that have disappeared or transformed due to the crisis. In addition, repeated lockdowns have led to increased domestic violence. MEPs call for the inequalities to be combated.
