Over 700 medical workers vaccinated in Chisinau

Chisinau, 9 March /MOLDPRES/- 754 medical workers were vaccinated in Chisinau. At the same time, about 3,000 people work in municipal hospitals.

The head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health of the Chisinau City Hall, Tatiana Bucearschi, said at today's online meeting of municipal services that 1440 doses of vaccine were received in the capital and 754 medical workers have already been vaccinated.

At the same time, the official noted that the number of hospital beds for COVID-19 treatment increased, the total capacity reached 1666 beds in municipal hospitals and 80 triage beds. "Currently, 1590 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in municipal hospitals - 64 of them are in very serious condition, 703 are in serious condition, and 777 are in average condition," said Bucearschi.

So far, 195,602 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country. 4,129 people died due to complications caused by the new coronavirus, including 94 medical workers.
