Moldova might receive anti-COVID-19 vaccines on behalf of Turkey

Chisinau, 9 March /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii today had a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Moldova Halil Gürol Sökmensüer, the parliament’s communication and public relations general department has reported.
Attending the meeting was Governor of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia Irina Vlah.
The officials discussed more subjects on the Moldovan-Turkish cooperation relations. The sides welcomed the high level of the multidimensional collaboration between Moldova and Turkey.
The speaker thanked for the solid support provided by the Turkish state to Moldova in various sectors, including in the context of combating COVID-19.
Halil Gürol Sökmensüer said that Moldova was a friendly country for Turkey and expressed openness for a continuous development of the bilateral dialogue.
The participants in the meeting discussed developments in the pandemic context and possibility of providing Moldova with consignments of anti-coronavirus vaccines on behalf of Turkey.
