Flamanzeni gymnassium energy supplied with EU support

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/- Works to increase energy efficiency are underway at Iurie Boghiu gymnasium in Flămânzeni village, Sângerei district. They are carried out under a project implemented by the North Regional Development Agency (ADR) and funded by the European Union. The specialists of the institution monitored the project yesterday and found that the works are performed in accordance with the time schedule.
Currently, roof rehabilitation and thermal insulation works are being carried out on the walls of the educational institution.
"Attending the event were representatives of the Construction Department of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), technical managers, designers and other parties involved in the implementation of the project. On the site, technical issues were discussed for which solutions are to be identified ", according to ADR Nord.
As a result of the energy efficiency measures, over 320 students and 30 teachers and auxiliary staff from the institution will benefit from improved education conditions and a comfortable study environment.
The total cost of the construction works within this project amounts to 16.94 million lei, of which 16.72 million lei represent the financing of the European Union, through ADR Nord, and 217,890 lei - co-financing from the Sangerei District Council.
The works started in October 2020 and are to be completed by the end of this year.
The investment measure Increasing the energy efficiency of Iurie Boghiu Gymnasium in Flămânzeni village, carried out by ADR Nord, is financed by the European Union in cooperation with the project Modernization of Local Public Services in Moldova, implemented by GIZ Moldova in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture , Regional Development and Environment and financially supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
